MS comp rate update

I was recently told by my Host at Majestic Star that coin in does not
matter at all. Theoretical loss is the key requirement. My wife and I
played $70K through in 1.5 days and were turned down for a $40 rental
car re imbursement.

That $70K probably would have gotten you an overnight
comp'd room at Wynn.

I've just about had it with MS. Last month I recieved
the invite to the Ditka/Fridge event the day AFTER the
event. This isn't the first time I've recieved late
mailers from them, and it only seems to be MS. My
other casino mailers always arrive in plenty of time
to take advantage of them.

I've had fiascos with 5x cashback offers.

On Saturday, I'm cashing-out my cashback and any
coupons I have for MS without playing. Then me and
the gf are heading to Resorts to enjoy a comp'd meal
that's actually edible and a comp'd night in a hotel
room that doesn't look like it offers hourly rates.

I wasn't invited to this event, but I know someone who throws a bit more
money around a casino than I who said this event seemed sparsely attended.
I think she only had a couple of days notice. Today I just received an MS
slot tournament invite for 9/18. Unfortunately my wayback machine is out of
order;-) It could have been the USPS. The monthly mailers seem to come on
schedule.

Glad to see I don't have the worst mail service in Chicago, I got my
invite to the Sept. 18 slot tournament on Oct. 5! My wayback machine
is also under repair.

No surprise here, with that answer from the Host. Coin-in and
theoretical loss is the same thing, just what exactly are they
calculating theoretical loss on, coin-in perhaps. The real change is
that in the past they would also use actual losses in calculating
comps and cash-back. They were extremely generous with even rather
modest losses.

The problem with the current situation is that video poker players no
longer get "credit" for the really poor average level of play by most
of the video poker players at Majestic, the spread has to be greater
than the 2%. Actual loses at Majestic are much worse than theoretical
losses.
