MS Bartops

Sone posted on the main board that all the JOB have been downgraded.
I am not sure that she also meant the bartops. Has anyone been there
Friday nite or Sat and notice if those were changed also. I would
hate to drive down next week for nothing if they were downgraded
also. If so, I guess it is time to say goodbye to MS.
thanks
Mel

The $1 96 JOB are alive at the bar tops as of Sunday morning. I checked a
handful of the games in the old casino at the bar n arrow bar as well as at
the bar in the non-smoking section. I also found a couple of 96 at the bar
in the new casino. Good luck getting on these things...these are the same
machines with penny denominations....lots of people playing hours for cent
and a beer.

As reported previously, the $1 pickems are gone as are the $5 pickems and
JOB.

If you do play the $1 I was curious if the comp percentage is still the
same. I wonder if MS decided to cut the comps along with the vp rates.

Jack,
Why would you be curious if the comps have been changed on a game that
has an EV of less than 97 percent? It has been reported on another
board that 20 All Americans are now available at the Borgata on
Multgames. 12 near the Amphora Lounge and 6 near the box office.

Well the $1 96 are still there for those that enjoy that game. At 99.5% plus
the 1.11% comp rate for dollar play this makes for a decent game for $1
players. As far as I know there were never and 100%+ games at MS (pickem was
close) so anyone playing there was adding the comp rate as part of the
return or, in fact, were playing solely for the comps.

We were playing just for the comps. The trouble is now at MS, you
have to pay .5% to get .5% and that assumes everything goes perfect,
no long bad luck streaks, you make no mistakes, etc. And many of the
goods and services are more than double priced. People here in CT
just don't pay $300 for a weekend hotel room, $48 for a sweatshirt,
etc. Even with the full-pay $PE's, I became a variance victim going
down a few thousand after having a quadless summer. (I eventually
stayed even from September on.) But I hoped things would eventually
even out and I'd recoup the difference. It just doesn't make sense
for me to go back into a game that sacrifices another .5%. I'd be
more apt to move down to quarters; but then you only getting half the
comp rate (1/160 at MS) at 1/4th the stakes.

That's why for now I playing double points only at Foxwoods and if
nothing changes, I'm going to learn Blackjack.
