If you go the the Mohegan Sun website and check under the
pressroom, there
is a detailed account of the new addition (Casino of the Wind :).
Looks like an additional 1,500 slots, !,000 rooms (300 House of
Blues themed
rooms). Not starting till 2007 and completion isn't expected till
2010.
They don't build them fast around here.
They can build them fast if they need to; they just want to milk it.
I want to know when they are going to build a Casino of Fire. I hope
next to the "jackpots won" counter, they add a "money diverted from
Rhode Island" counter also. One thing's for sure, CT will never be
able to get rid of the casinos by changing the law; can you imagine
what would happen with the loss of revenue, and then having to
accommodate 24,000 additional people unemployed in a rural
community?? I like the way the Norwich Bulletin stated they were
building 29 housing units to accommodate the 2,000 additional casino
workers -- I guess along with the Asian-themed food court, that Asian-
themed "bed-in-a-drawer" housing would fit right in. Is the idea for
the "House of Blues" hotel meant for players after they've gambled?
And will they add a "House of the VP Advantage Player" just for us
with our favorite full-pay games in the lobby, with a readout that
states what we're currently being rated at and the latest kitchenware
won by haaljo?
