With all due respect, and without belittling or ridiculing anyone,
I have to say that a rule such as "vulgarity and raunchiness are
not allowed on the vpFREE Yahoo! Groups" doesn't make sense
to me.

It does to me.

It's kind of silly to me because only one person (the vpFREE
Administrator) can decide what is or is not "vulgar" or "raunchy."
Until the offending message is posted to the group - and read
by the vpFREE Administrator - the person posting the message
doesn't even know if he's broken a rule or not.

I believe most people recognize vulgarity and raunchiness
when they see it, and I have very little sympathy for
anyone who is concerned with how much V and R they
can get away with before they face sanctions.

In any event, when enforcing the rules, I usually am
concerned with intentional, habitual violators, and they
will usually get at least one warning before their posting
privileges are revoked.

And, besides, we are all (supposedly) over 21 in this group.
And, we should be able to have adult conversations, which
sometimes include vulgarity & raunchiness....just like real-life
conversations between adults.

You're entitled to your opinion, but no one has a right to
use vulgarity or raunchiness on any vpFREE forum.

And, there aren't any age requirements on any vpFREE group,

vpFREE Administrator

LOL! Of course it does! You are the one who made the rule in the
first place! I hope you wouldn't make a rule that didn't make sense to
you! It really wasn't eally necessary to state the obvious.

Thank you for confirming that I am entitled to my opinion.

Yes, I know that no one has the right to use vulgarity or
raunchiness on any vpFREE forum. You've made that very
clear. It really didn't need to be repeated.

I'm not sure why you wrote that last line. Yes, I know
that there are not age requirements on any vpFREE group.
Apparently, you missed my point. I said, "we are all
(supposedly) over 21 in this group." That means, it is
likely that all vpFREE members are over 21 (since discussing
a pasttime that you cannot legally participate in is probably
boring to the under 21 crowd.) I did NOT say, "vpFREE
members are suposed to be 21 or over." My statement
did not imply that I thought the was (or should be) an
age restriction on vpFREE Yahoo! Groups.
