Please correct me if I am wrong Les, but weren't you planning a move to our
fair city? What if your move was last year, like my wife and I, would you
have a different viewpoint then, after playing a good game and then having
it gutted? This move by THE SCUMCOAST may very well have a long lasting
effect on the future of playable games all over this city. If you have no
interest in that, use the delete key.

Like Les, I had considered moving to LV to get away from CA high power
prices, for a perceived better-quality-of-life, for cheaper housing, for no
state income tax, etc, etc, & for the GAMBLING.

The more time I spent in LV, the more I realized that I wasn't ready to make
a permanent change in lifestyle.

I live in a place where "green" & "lettuce" mean something other money and
"big nickel" is still a big 5 cents. Life doesn't change very fast and
farming & farmers dominate industry & politics.

Las Vegas, on the other hand, "CHANGE" is the mantra. In the '90s, LV blew up
at least one big building a year & replaced it with a bigger one. In the next
couple of years, LV will have a monorail which will take more people off the
streets & force the "peep show" brochure hustlers to partner up with the
take-out pizza joints to slip their stuff under your hotel room door.

CA indian casinos are keeping more californians at home, so the corporations
are looking for more ways to keep their LV margins from shrinking further.
Which means cutting out product lines which don't make any money.

Some day in the near future, this period of LV will be referred to as the
"good old days" (horrible thought).

I don't like change any more than you do, Nudge, but I'll adjust. I've only
been coming to LV since '94 but have seen better things than quarter FPDW go
bye bye.

It really hurts if it's the only game you play. By all means, boycott
Suncoast. It may get them to restore FPDW.

But also treat this as a wake-up call. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Nothing personal meant by this reply, but if you perceive it that way, use
the delete key.
