Before the recent points requirement tinkering a few months ago, the $10K level mailer included two buffet coupons, one for the first half of the month, and one for the last half. Each coupon was good for two people, any meal. Each mailer also received a $50 food coupon good at the restaurants. Our latest mailer for December arrived the other day and I noticed the absence of free food of any kind. I was not surprised at the increase in points needed for the $30 mailer, as that was a 1.2% mailer and a higher return than most of the competition, so $30 per week for $20K of play puts them more in line with other places. The elimination of the food incentives looks like overkill to me, as these low hard cost benefits also brings bodies into the door. Not even a $2 Kate's Korner ice cream discount during this festive season. I am curious to know what some of you folks that play at the $60K per month level received in your December mailer. Were the cuts in the A+ mailer similar to the ones in our A mailer? Just to be fair, our mailer did include a coupon for two free movie tickets and also one for a buy a room night for $50 and get a second free. Whoopppeeee!. I see a lot of breakage here.

More South Point Mailer Cuts
Nudge, I have a vague recollection that South Point did not include food coupons last December either.

Correct. In general, they usually don't include free food coupons in months when the are doing food for 50% when purchased with points. They probably feel they will be busy enough with the rodeo stuff going on.
