More re Wynn

My friend Siona and I played at Wynn in Sept. Siona played only about 500
points, I played about 900 points on the "good" machines. Since then we have
received Free play mailings for Nov., Dec., and now Jan. -- Siona is getting
$50 a week, me $75 -- that is 12 mailings or a phenominal $600 in free play
for Siona! We also got 2 free buffets initially, an offer for 2 free nights
in Dec. Later I received an extra 2 free buffets.

Note all initial play was done in 1 day and we both have local Vegas
addresses.

We've been playing the free play each week. Siona just playing only the
free play, but I've played a bit more on several occasions. It will be
interesting to see how long the free play continues.

Even assuming that once the 500 points are over you will have to play a lot
at FP machines to get more comps (and far less at regular VP or reels), just
getting the 500 points and now getting 4 free buffets (50 points for 2 and
then at the 500 point level another 2), this is a phenomenal offer, assuming you
also later get the Free Play. Just the buffets alone seem worthwhile to me
- that is something like buffets valued at about $120 plus $10 in free play
when you hit that 500 point mark. I thought it only took $10 to get 1 point
at 9/6 $1 JB, but at the FP machines it could require more $ per point, not
sure on that.

Some locals reported various other offers, and some did not get free play
(apparently because they played their initial 500 points over several days
instead of on 1 day as we did). But I do think the Wynn buffet is the best in
Vegas.

Note the buffet can get crowded, especially later in the day. We found no
lines at all between 4-5pm. Dinner starts at 4pm. We also tried the lunch
and it had slightly different food, but was also very good. The menu varies
slightly from day to day. Best item we haven't seen twice - crab soup during
lunch.

I walked by the buffet as someone was organizing the lines on
Thanksgiving and she said that there was a 2.5 hour wait.
