more re acronyms - NSU

Yeah, he came up with NSUD (Not So Ugly Ducks) to describe the 16/10
variety. It "logically" followed from the 15/9 version, which was sometimes referred
to as Ugly Ducks. Clever and catchy, except it's difficult to pronounce the
acronym. I prefer acronyms you can actually say, as words, like UNCLE or
LASER or UNICEF.

"Formally utilize"? Not sure exactly what that means, but I don't think so.
It just kind of caught on. Skip did NOT say, "By the powers vested in me by
the Video Poker Players Association of America, I dub thee, NOT SO UGLY DUCKS!"
And hit the top of the machine (containing the appropriate paytable) with a
sword. Would have been fun to watch, though, if he had! Could have been a
three minute segment on one of those gambling shows on The Travel Channel...

For the next day or so, the Weather Channel is the place to be. New Orleans
is NOT! My Mom is supposed to fly there in three weeks. I hope she doesn't
have to ride in one of those amphibious planes in order to land!

But seriously I believe
it was Skip who was the first to initiate and formally utilize the acronym.

Actually Skip did do an infomercial on NSUD a few years ago. I think it was filmed at the Nevada Landing buffet.
