more re acronyms - NSU

Just thought I would mention that the term NSU really seems to be getting
around. I hear more and more people mentioning NSU when I am sitting at VP
machines - even people who are not on these lists! I'm assuming no machine was
actually marketed with a big "NSU Deuces" sign on it instead of "Draw Poker"
or "Deuces Wild". I guess with enough people reading VP books, hearing Bob
Dancer talk, or having friends, the term has just gotten into the general
gambling jargon. Soon it will show up in the dictionary.

IGT has used it on their web site. Amazing. <g>

When BC put in the whole bunch of them several months ago, Lisa Vios (soon
to depart for the South Coast :-() included the fact that they had been
installed and used the term in a letter.

Well, anything that's copyrightable and created in the US is
automatically copyrighted (although obviously the copyright isn't
automatically registered). I doubt that the name alone would qualify
for copyright protection.

There could certainly be a trademark, but I'm not sure that you could
claim a trademark on something like this without being IGT.

Certainly IGT could patent the pay table, copyright the design of the
machine, and trademark the name.

ummmm. I was basically joking about the copyright. But seriously I believe it was Skip who was the first to initiate and formally utilize the acronym.
