more pickem questions

Had some good luck and recently hit a straight flush on the $ pickem for 1199. If I was looking to play more more than $5 per pull what is the best option? I would assume play one coin on the $10 machine.

Do any of you have any thoughts on this topic?

I do not mind playing lots of quarters to play more than $5 per pull.

As usual thanks for the input.

You're right. The next best bet would be 1 coin on the $10 machines. You're only giving back 10K on the royal. All $5 machines are short pay.

Doesn't the four of a kind pay also get shorted? The game returns 600 units for a 5 coin bet but only 100 units for a one coin bet.
Math Question - What effect does one coin play have when you account for the royal and 4oK shortage have on the overall payback?

On FP PE, less than 5 coin returns 1,000 units (per coin in) vs 1,200 units for 5 coin play for the royal.

Also, less than 5 coin returns 200 units (per coin in) vs 240 units for 5 coin play for the SF.

Also, less than 5 coin returns 100 units (per coin in) vs 120 units for 5 coin play for the 4oK.

The payback (assuming perfect play) is 98.95% for less than 5 coin play vs. 99.95% for 5 coin (on FP PE machines).

What's a percentage point cost you? Assuming you are playing $10 per hand (one coin) at 600 hands per hour you are running through $6,000 per hour. One percent of $6,000 is $60. So playing 1 coin in on a FP PE $10 machine will cost you $60 per hour (assuming perfect play).

BUT in reality it will likely cost you even more because there are probably some strategy changes that need to be made due to the changes in the (less than 5 coin) paytables. I've never played less than 5 coin so I don't know what the strategy changes would be, but I'm told there are a few. So in reality it is costing you more than $60 per hour.

So $1.00 9/6 JoB (99.56%) at 10 coin would be a better play. I think some of the bars still have these.

Even 20 coin @ 50 cent FP Bonus Poker would be a better play at 99.17% than $10 FP PE at 1 coin at < 98.95%. I think there are a couple banks of these machines available there as well.

There are actually many PE machines that are not "full pay", but if memory serves are 98.74% payback (10,000-1000-500-90-75-50-25-15-10 for $5) that can be played for up to $10 on a $1 machine, and for $25 on a $5 machine. There are some as part of multi-game-multi-denom machines in the old poker room, and some in the Wind Casino that I know of. I'd rather play those than play at less than full-coin-in

Thanks, I've looked at the pay tables hundreds of times and never realized that. It must be senility but I always play with max bet.
