More on Yahoo - long

This is the reply I got from Yahoo and I'll also include my response to them:

Hello,

Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Groups.

While we investigate all reported violations against the Yahoo! Terms of
Service (TOS), Yahoo! has no control over activities outside its
service, and therefore if messages are being sent directly to your
address outside of the Yahoo! Groups service, we cannot take action.

You may try contacting the sender's email provider, by identifying the
sender's domain and contacting the administrator of that domain.

Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Customer Care.

Regards,

Debrah

What Group are you reporting?

This group was added without my knowledge or consent to my
Google groups list. I know for a fact (since so many of us
were added to the group) and we have discussed it that
someone harvested our names from another Google group
(VPFree)and put us onto this group without our permission.
This is a violation of your TOS and I would hope you will
take action against that group for this violation. All this
happened within the past few days. I used your software
request to remove myself from the group but it was an
annoyance and not in keeping with Google's good TOS policies.

We were made members of a Yahoo group without our knowledge or consent. The
first we knew we were members was when we began getting group emails and as
we complained and the emails came to all of us, we figured out that we had
been subscribed to this group of yours. I'm sure this comes within your
purview as it was Yahoo that was sending us the messages via its group software. I
don't want to have to take it beyond Yahoo but if you can't accept that it
was an official of a Yahoo group, under your aegis, who harvested and enrolled
us as members, I'll have to find a higher authority. I'm sure you don't
want that.
