I hope the good ones stay but a lot of people that have been there a long
time are ticked due to uncertainty about benefits, seniority & having to
reapply for their jobs in some depts. There have been a series of meetings to
answer a lot of questions & exit interviews have been cautiously positive.
Haven't been back since leaving a few days ago but have heard that FPDW
hasn't come back (yet?) & that most machines still aren't up. When this started
someone said 2 weeks & an exec said just a few days. Should have known not to
listen to a rookie.
The Marnells are involved with MGM on a large project called M Resort a few
miles south of Mandalay Bay. Someone suggested that the new upper management
at EW & CB are in a training mode in preparation for M Resort's debut in 2009.
Rumors, how I love to stir the pot!
Seriously, I think the changes are going to be good & the net effect will be
aggressive competition for market share because you don't change over your
casinos just to run in place. Watch your email & mailboxes.
