At the Pioneer, they were giving 3X points so the machines were set to
automatically display them.

Isn't that amayzing a casino has figured out how to add a multiplier promo
in
real time? Pioneer has been doing this for years on their Acres slot card
system.>>>
When they went to the new ACRES system it wasn't all smooth. Soon after
booting it up, they tried to use the bonus feature to automatically award extra
credits when the promotion event was hit (full houses were included). They did
it for only for a few days before they went back to manual awards. It wasn't
because the ACRES system didn't work. It did increment the correct amount.
But they didn't alert the customers or the change people so they received a lot
of complaints because people didn't know that the bonus was already added to
existing credits. Whoever was in charge then must have thought ... uh not
thought much about the need for testing. But it works well now.
