I forgot to mention that Ribs deal at the River Palms. $2.99 with 50
points put on your card. Supposedly a full pound of ribs (based upon
what was on our plates the fixens were required to bring it up to a
full pound). Nevertheless they were pretty good and tender. But they
would not be worth the regular price of $10.99 or $11.99. Catch came
at the cashier: YOU CAN'T USE YOUR COMP TO PAY THE $2.99. I think
they had a burger deal last month and I did use my comp to pay the
balance. You can still use your comp to pay the $1.22 for the Aces High
breakfast after swiping and getting $1 off for 10 points earned.
More Laughlin Observations
Well, RP is getting worst. The change people downstairs in
the "winners wharf" have gotten ruder if that is possible. Constant
complaining about filling machines that run out of coins...Keep people
waiting constantly..Are rude to the customer when they finally get to
your machine to request a fill and when they come to fill it (with
another person of course, because mamangement cant trust their own
employees to fill a machine properly) they just talk and complain to
each toher and ignore the customer. I was really appalled the last
time I was there (2 weeks ago) and yet it use to be my favorite place
toplay.

I noticed that they do not have enough people to service this area. I
noticed that service was slow, but when I was there I noticed the
employees were working as fast as they could. Also....the big deal
here.... I would never complain about the service in that area. This is
now the sacred grounds in Laughlin- the only full pay deuces wild left.
When I see slow service and overworked people, I do my best to not
complain, and try to compliment those people. Suddenly they seem like
nice people again.
Would you rather see some more penny slot TITO machines in that area?
It is proabaly just a matter of time anyway.

We were there last week Jul 12-15. My observation was completely
opposite. The change people at RP were ALL very courteous and
responsive. The MGs with FPDW are a handpay at $300 or more cash out.
So the 4 ducks just add up the credits until you cash out. They asked
if I wanted large or small bills before returning with my money.
I finally got my first Laughlin royal flush on one of these machines
after 10 years and about 500,000 hands of vp there! Then I got a coupon
for a 500 coin bonus if I get another RF in 30 days. No chance of that
when it took me 10 years to get the first! The 3 standalone FPDW
machines were getting a lot of play. I think many don't realize that
the 4 MG have FPDW on them too.
Did an inventory of EW and CB. The good news first is that on a late
Friday afternoon you could get on almost any vp machine except the
bartops. I guess the hardcore drinkers will always play there. The bad
news is that EW and CB are a virtual vp wastelands now. The only game I
spotted over 99.0% was a bank of 12/8 LD (99.2%) at EW on MG/MD of
25c/50c/$1. At EW there seems to be only about 50% of the vp machines
that there once was. They are heavy with slots.
The RE soon to be Tropicana Express has also vastly reduced their vp
inventory. I asked about some machines and the attendant said if they
were coin droppers then they are gone. So maybe only the Riverside,
Golden Nugget, and River Palms have the remaining coin droppers?
At the Pioneer, they were giving 3X points so the machines were set to
automatically display them.
At the RP, I got point multipliers of 3X, 3x, 3x, and 4x. Wife got 3X
and 5X for their hang ten promotion.
