Ok, I'm playing along on this FPDW machine when, in mid-deal, it
halts for a second or two, then decides to finish dealing my five
cards. That I could live with. However, when suddenly the screen
goes blue and the message appears "Verifying Game Memory, Please
Wait" it's a bit too much. I change machines. Unfortunately there's
more than one FPDW machine with this peculiarity. Maybe I shouldn't
freak out but I see anything out of the norm as a problem waiting to
happen. I don't go to Laughlin for problems. I go for free food,
free room and to have fun (fun = go home with more $$$ than I came
with).

I played on those uprights and have the same experience. It was kind of amusing to play. It was terribly slow but I played it out of curiosity. There was one upright on the end that seemed to do this about every five hands or so. Once it verified the game midway through the deal! Very strange machine. I was guessing that it had an old '86 miroprocessor in it. The slant tops play normal.

I've had the problem on at least one slant top near registration.

Well, Dennis I guess we know where to find you in the month of
January! The offers I get from Laughlin are much more generous than I
receive from Las Vegas (exception: LV Hilton). I see I have dropped
off the A list at the Edgewater, as I did not receive the Desert
Challenge offer this year.
I received and interesting "deal" in the mail from the Colorado
Belle. They sent me a Christmas card, and in with it was another card
for triple points on Tues, Wed. and Thurs. for January and February.
This is in addition to any and all offers. Those triple points can
really add up as I found out on my last trip.

What does my mail man think, 5 out of 6 pieces of mail in the last
two days were from Laughlin casinos.
No mail from EW, I put $8k thru in November. Just a valid e-mail
January offer.
No mail from CB, two week old postcard for January for $7.77/$19.99
rooms and half dozen donuts.
New mail:
Postcard from Harrahs for $15/$45 January rooms, yearly Total Reward
Credits is 56.
Pioneer calendar, don't forget the implied comped rooms, 2 Getaway
nights per month. Something new though for the speciality dinners, a
charge of $30 off comp account for two nights and Chinese New Year
Dinners (Jan 23 or 24). I have never done one of these.
Strong January Tuesday drawings for cash. February even stronger
daily ones "Rack Em Up". A rack of silver given away five times a
day.
Also recieved my Pioneer birthday comp, the usual, $20 coffee shop
comp or two nights anytime. This is good for a year and comes in
handy for a weekend stay.
The Riverside sent me a January mailer after blowing me off in Nov
and Dec. Daily cash drawings at 5pm 4x$501=$2004 fairly strong
since $500 coin-in is the only way to get tickets.
River Palms-my coupons are for 1 night comped and $10 bounce. I
wonder if the new daily promos are for January only? Thursday- Empty
the Hopper, that sounds like fun, select a machine number and you get
what is in the hopper, starting at 8:30am. I wonder how many they
are going to do? A $5 match, that is a new one.
