Stopped by today for free play and discovered that they have basically cut their quarter FPDW inventory in half. This bad news is on all 16 machines against the wall across from the Cabo lounge. Now, I guess to soften this blow, they decided to make all the nickel versions of the FP games a ten coin progressive. So, you can play FP 10 nickel progressive only on FPDW, 15/8 LD, 10/7 DB, and 10/6 DDB. If you want to play 10 cents or quarters, you can play 10 coin on the LD, DB, and DDB, no FPDW. Wait, I think I'm having a Guinness moment. Brilliant!!! What a move. Alienate more quarter players but keep those ginormous $300 per hour coin in players hunky dory happy. Well this ought to fatten up the coffers, huh. The wife and I finally decided to divorce this place when we got our July mailer and discovered that they are changing the free play days around in a subtle attempt to slice a few more dollars of free play out of their budget. They also made the use of your free food credit usable only on a couple of days in he month. So much for pride in their as advertised fine Fiestalicious dining. Could be a blessing, as we always considered a successful trip to their buffet one that did not require a stop at a UMC Quick Care on our way home. Wonder what's next. If you are currently a Stations player anywhere, I would be wary. What kind of cuts do you think might be down the road when the Fertitta's and Colony Capital complete there walk down the gaming approval aisle and say I do? If you no longer have a diversified board of directors and a large number of stockholders to keep happy, what do you think? Even though we've officially parted with them, since their alimony payments of free play will be coming for another month or two, I will keep my eyes and ears open and report any news here. I don't think George Maloof has stopped laughing yet, even after 6 years.
