Actually, yes I do. Sometimes, maybe a lot of the time, and maybe not
today or tomorrow. But that really isn't the point, now is it.

Let's get back to the original rookie question about getting comped at a
bartop and then the three drink maximum.
Most bartop VP plays want you to buy-in for at least $10 and then play
maximum coins. In the low roller joints I visit a dollar right away in the tip jar
will take away any eye-balling of your play.
I have seen signage actually stating what is required to get comped. An
example is the Colorado Belle (Laughlin) where a sign says $10 buy-in and actively
play 3-5 coins.
Now since you posted this inquiry on a VP board you probably want the best
VP/comped drink deal combo. Downtown you can't beat the quarter plays at MSS,
GN and Four Queens. MSS, the Boar Bar you play on roomy white marble bartops
with 9/6 Jacks, and can do pints of the homebrews. Claude's Bar in the GN used
to have Bonus 8/5, but getting the second drink can be hard. At Four Queens
there are three bars with the same progressive games. One of them should be
playable. A favorite daytime play is at the 4Q/Kings Bar where you can
directly look out to the Fremont Canopy activity with the open doors.
Now alot of joints will not let you get a shot and a beer on the floor at one
time. You can do it at a bartop with some previous history with the
bartender. You usually have some better booze/beers to choose from at a bartop too.
This three drinks an hour thing is just silly if you just sat down. These
one ounce booze mixed drinks in the seven ounce glasses don't do it. Even three
beers might not work. You suck the first one in five minutes, the second one
is consumed finding out the gossip and the third one you take out to the
floor to find the good VP and get into cycle with the cocktailer. If you hit it
wrong on the floor the cocktail breaker and regular are not doing the section
in the same order. Heck, some shifts/joints don't even have a breaker. You
could go thirsty for 45 minutes.

**************************************
See
