Everyone I've ever visited gives free drinks if you're playing at the bar. Some are a little picky about type of drink and how much your playing. Only exception is Wynn. Only comp drinks at the sports bar and than only 3 per hour. Yes, they do keep track.
If you like to suck em down while playing VP at the bar avoid the Wynn. Pay tables vary so I would look them up in the data base. Some good choices (considering drink service) are Paris, Venetian or CP. Lower rent joints I recommend are Gold Coast and Ellis Island. Enjoy.

After following the Wynns messages the question comes to mind. Which
casinos comp drinks at their bars when the video games are being played?
Will be visitig Vegas in a couple of weeks and some directions would be
appreciated.

Mr. Jim --

Three drinks in the first hour a player sits at a bar probably will
not raise any eyebrows (except yours) in most places.

Cheers,

Actually, yes I do. Sometimes, maybe a lot of the time, and maybe not today or tomorrow. But that really isn't the point, now is it.

I doubt that this would have been the philosophy of Carrie Nation.
I don't believe that James implied that the player shouldn't be
served ANY alcholic beverage.

Maybe James is just an ordinary player like me, who would prefer not
to contend with a falling down drunk either in a casino or while
driving home!

Or, perhaps, like a casino attorney, who feels an obligation to
insure that his client is not sued under Dram Shop laws, for
continuing to serve an intoxicated patron.

There is no Dram Shop Liability in Nevada. In fact, there is a law
specifically prohibiting any such claim. See the pertinent part of
N.R.S. 41.1305, which is excerpted below:

      1. A person who serves, sells or otherwise furnishes an
alcoholic beverage to another person who is 21 years of age or older
is not liable in a civil action for any damages caused by the person
to whom the alcoholic beverage was served, sold or furnished as a
result of the consumption of the alcoholic beverage.

What a company town, er I mean State.

Thanks John, for educating me today.

I live in a large Mid-Western city where stringent Dram Shop liability
laws do exist. IMO, it should be incumbent on those who dispense
alcoholic beverages to bear some of responsibility for serving alcohol
to an already inebriated individual.

Too bad that all the laws in Nevada are written to serve ONLY the
interests of the casino owners!

MADD, do you have a chapter in LV!
