More Bad News From the Isle

To members;

It's important for ALL PLAYERS to not play at these places. If you have free play, play it through once (ie, $100 through for a $100 free play voucher), then cash it out and leave.

I've seen this before in Vegas and Reno, and if you don't come back and encourage others not to, management will pay attention.

Unfortunately, with competition poor in the midwest (and often with players who don't have the discipline to do this), management will get away with this if you don't speak up.

Save your money and buy cheap tickets to Vegas. The money you spend to get there will be more than made up for by better pay tables and comps.

DON'T BE A SUCKER. If the pay table is short, you MUST ABORT.

Incidentally, being from Nevada, I'm amused as I walk into Council Bluffs casinos and watch people waste good money on these crappy pay tables. The law of large numbers, used by card counters and other advantage players, states that in games such as blackjack and VP, the longer you play, the closer to the game's payback percentage you will get. Thus, if the pay table is 97.5%, such as with 8/5 Jacks, that's what you will get over the long run--and that's NOT COUNTING ERRORS! Less than 1 in 1,000 players can play error free. Anybody who thinks they are "positive" on these games? Show me the records. I haven't found a SINGLE player who "thinks" they are positive on negative games who can show me the proof.

The only "good" game is at Harrah's (10/6 Double Double Bonus), but I've been keeping stats, and this game is playing suspiciously tight. In almost two years of play, I have seen only one royal and NO aces with kicker in 1.7 million hands. Yes, I said NO, as in NONE. This is statistically in the range of multimillions against by chance, which is strong indication these games are gaffed. Play at your own risk, but beware, the deck is stacked. My notes are extensive, and I'm confident about my conclusions.

I strongly believe that Midwest gaming authorities don't have the teeth of the Nevada Gaming Commission. Demand and expect better, or you will continue to get hosed.
