When I played the machines there were no signs indicating that the VP was not
based on a 52 card deck. That is precisely why Senator McCain has suggested
legislation that would force casinos to specify the type of machine. There is
no question that it is deceptive.
I received mailers last summer from Mighty M Gaming 'We Now Have Video
Poker'. Casinos in Fla have huge billboard with the same VP messages. If this was
anything but gaming, where you have states that disallow losses on taxes (which
is clearly unfair) while they tax winnings, this matter would have been
resolved and regulated a long time ago.
The problem is that the only lobbyist's for gaming are the casinos and they
couldn't give a damn if their customers get screwed twice since the are the
first ones doing the screwing.

Interestingly, I had sent an e-mail to Mighty M a few months ago,
asking about the type of machines they have and the overall payback. I
don't have their reply saved any more, but I seem to remember that they
said that their machines were Class II VLTs. I could be wrong,
