vpFREE Rules and Policies
The vpFREE Video Poker Group is a free forum for the discussion and
exchange of information about video poker and video poker related
topics. Everything pertaining to the overall VP experience, especially
in Las Vegas, is on topic. This includes VP theory, machine inventories,
casinos, slot club benefits, comps, LV restaurant and entertainment
reviews, trip reports, etc..
Every vpFREE member, as a requirement for continuing membership, is
expected to vote in all applicable vpFREE polls and elections. Members
are also expected to help keep the vpFREE DataBase current by reporting
video poker inventory changes in casinos that they visit.
vpFREE is, and will always remain, a non-profit operation.
CONDUCT: Members are expected to observe the rules of "NETIQUETTE",
and to practice politeness and show good taste in their posts to vpFREE.
Deviations from and violations of these conduct standards will be
policed by the vpFREE membership. Habitual abusers of these conduct
standards may be moderated or have their posting privileges revoked.
The vpFREE Administrator will rely on vpFREE's members to police
conduct violations, and will move any "DISRUPTIVE THREAD" to
"FREEvpFREE", which is the free speech adjunct of vpFREE.
SUNSHINE POLICY: It is vpFREE's policy to share ALL known positive VP
games and casino promotions with the membership.
MODERATION: vpFREE is semi-moderated, which means that established
members aren't normally moderated, but individual members can be
moderated for cause. All new members are moderated until they have made
a legitimate post, to help prevent spam messages.
PROMOTIONAL POSTS: The preferred promotional method on vpFREE is
the use of short, unobtrusive signature files. In addition, occasional
announcements of new or continuing offers of mainstream video poker
related products are acceptable. All other promotional posts require
prior approval.
ADMINISTRATION: The vpFREE Administrative Committee (a Dictatorship,
hopefully benevolent) makes, interprets and enforces the rules and
policies for vpFREE.
Posting Guidelines
1. EVERYONE SHOULD READ AND BE FAMILIAR WITH THE vpFREE
FAQ BEFORE POSTING A MESSAGE ON vpFREE.
2. Every vpFREE message's subject line should accurately identify the
content of the message, to facilitate faster navigation by interested or
uninterested members.
3. If you reply to a message and change the subject matter, either start
a new thread (preferable) with a new subject line or rename the subject
line to reflect its new focus.
4. When replying to messages, quote just enough of the previous post to
maintain continuity. Clip the rest of the previous post.
5. When replying to messages, clearly differentiate the previous
message from your comments, so that it will be easy to identify who
wrote what.
6. If you have administrative problems, send a private email to the
administrator, after you have checked the vpFREE Yahoo! Administrative
Problems Directory.
7. When you disagree with someone, consider replying by private Email.
If you respond publicly, be polite, non-personal (address the message,
not the messenger) and be gentle.
