Monaco VP

Caveat: This was observed in June 2004.

The tourist area [not the Grand Salon] in Casino Monte Carlo had 10-coin Euro$2 9-6 JOB with a Royal that was slightly greater than 800-1 at full coin. (Sorry, I can't remember the exact ratio.) I did not inquire about comps or CB. (Sorry again; we were on a fast-paced shore excursion)

Full coin = approximately $25/hand, so the game was only for those with a Monaco-sized bankroll.

Good luck if you find it and try it. "The Casino" is elegant and Monte Carlo is gorgeous. Oh, to be VERY rich.

I'm going to Nice on a business trip and will be about 30 minutes from Monaco.
I was thinking of swinging into the casino in Monte Carlo and possibly Casino
Ruhl in Nice. Has anyone gambled, VP in particular, in either of these
locations? If so, what were your experiences? Taxed on winnings, Full Pay
machines, dress codes, anything else? Thanks in advance.

There's supposed to be some 9-6 Jacks in Monaco with decent cb or
promos which make the game break even. Monaco gaming winnings should
be tax free. I know of a 10-coin E2 99.92 JW2 machine near Paris, but
taxes are something like 10% -E1500 non refundable. For example, you
make quints on that game, you'd pay E50 in taxes.

I had dinner this evening with a friend visiting here from Torino,
Italy. He has played at Monte Carlo on several occassions. I asked him
about the 9/6 JOB. He said that he won't play them. He was there with
several friends who know their way around Jacks or Better and visit
Vegas often. He said that as far as he's concerned the machines are
NOT random. They don't play like any machine he's ever played here in
Nevada. If you want random, he said to try playing the 6/5 JOB
machines that are in Italy.

Long story short, but there was once this 96.5% Joker (Unidesa)
machine in Spain, which I made into a 103%+ machine after figuring out
the (nonrandom) red/black double up side bet. The blackjack wasn't bad
either...

Since I have two sets of quints on this particular game, I'm guessing
it's random enough, at least on the deal and draw.
