Arrived Sunday for above tourney and party. Offer was from our "host"
(Carla Ford). We never received anything in the mail from marketing
but have kept in contact with Ms. Ford. We have been trying to get
our "sagamore" cards. Told they are being processed.
Tourney was $25k total with $15K top prize. Strange slot tourney
system. Everyone starts, then top 50% go to semifinal session, then
top 50% go to final session with 10 winners.
I would say there were 160 participants so EV was about $150. Very
nice buffet in the cabaret bar area which was restricted all day to
tourney participants and their guest. 6 plasma TV's to watch the game.
Tourney included hotel room and a portable hibachi grill (worth $20).
My wife did the tourney and she made it to the second round but
that's it. I don't know if the MS tourney system is good or bad but
it is certainly different.
Gambling: $45K through the poker room PE and 9/6 JB at the cabaret
bar. 500 points. Lost $900 - nothing unusual to report as we are now
even for three trips this year. Characters observed:
1)One fellow playing two PE machines at the same time tried to get
the tech to speed it up. Don't know if he was successful in his
request. Heard him say to tech "it still is too slow." I do know this
type of attention is going to bite us eventually.
2) Two woman were playing PE around 10:00 Sunday morning when
we showed up. They were playing PE all day including that evening
when we came back for a short while after the game. They were still
playing when we arrived back on Monday morning at 7:00. They left
shortly after.
Haaljo
