Went to M.S. this past Tuesday for the first time. I think I like
it a little better than Foxwoods, however, I'd go to both again. As
I started looking around at the vp machines, I noticed JoB paytables
that looked foreign to me; I very rarely get to a casino, maybe
twice a year. I had never seen paytables like 128 > 80 or 152 > 95,
and when I saw 20,000 for a royal I thought the machine was screwed
up. What I didn't realize was that you could play 25 credits at a
time. I was only used to playing 5 credits, so when I hit the BET
MAX button and 25 dollars disappeared I was a bit shocked.
Luckily towards the end of the day I was dealt three 3's on a five
play $1 machine and walked away $20 ahead for the day.
I hear there are 9>6 machines on some bartops, but I couldn't find
them. All I saw was 8>5, which in the end worked out for me.
Three disappoints I had were:
1. two good sized banks of vp machines were closed close to where my
buddy was playing BJ. There were around 32 machines all offline.
2. the lunch buffet was $18, I thought that was the dinner price
when I first saw it. It was good but I expected something like $12.
3. the player's club computer's were all down till late in the
afternoon, so I never was able to join the club.
