Mohegan Sun questions

Hi Gang:
Hedy and I are planning a quick trip to Connecticut soon and would like to
stay overnight at Mohegan Sun. The last time we were there the hotel wasn't even
built so we don't know anything about procedure at this property. We've
played there in the past but not too heavily. What would be our best bet at getting
a room? Do Indian casinos have hosts? Is it like Foxwoods, where you play to
earn Wampum points and then use your points at the end of your stay at pay for
your room? We haven't stayed at Foxwoods in many moons either but we would
like to try Mohegan Sun this time.
Does anybody have any recommendations? I've checked the VPFree database and
it looks as if Mohegan Sun has more playable VP, especially Pick Em, which we
love to play. Anyway, any help would be most appreciated.
Regards,
CoachVee (Tom V) & Hedy

Hi Coach. You can pay for your room with points just like foxwoods.
There are hosts available, although I do not know their names (maybe
someone else can help you with that). If you have limited play,
discounted rooms might not happen, but it certainly doesn't hurt to
call as ask to speak with a host. The mid week rates are not bad but
the weekends are steep. The paytables are better at Mohegan than
Foxwoods. -Russ

Both casino's have lower end pay tables on video poker. Mohegan Sun
has much better shopping, entertainment and restaurants. The hotel,
shops, restaurants atc can be paid for with points earned via the
Mohegan Sun Players Club card. The slots at both are tight and the
hosts even tighter. Best of luck and enjoy!!!
