I believe the points are determined by the denomination of your play. Even
a single line quarter VP machine is playing over a dollar at 5 coins. You
can check the points you are getting by recording your starting point balance,
playing 10 hands ($25) and recording the points after the play. At $90 you
would get $.28, $.14 at $180.
You would get more points at the dollar machine but would suffer a drop in
the return of the game due to the short coin play. You would be getting an
extra 1.1% in comps but losing more than that on the royal.
