Mohegan Sun Bar Tops

Rumor is they may not redo golf course and club house next year. Is Mohegan making mistakes or is economy going to be bad much longer than we think. Any ideas?

I think the casino is changing. Less points more free play. The free play is being cut down but more frequent days. Personally I would prefer one large day than 5 smaller days that add to more. Getting $125 of free play is not an incentive to make the trip. This past half year we averaged 240 and 320 points respectively for the day's we played. Took many trips without playing. We also got to play in several golf tournaments, plus got many freebies, comped rooms, lounge, and shows. Is there anyway to find out all the activities that go on, that we are not invited to. While up there this weekend, we found out a David Cone Golf Tournament, $100,000 baccarat tournament, and who knows what else. We got our Dyson Vacumns. Have a great day and royals to all. I was at the Lodge Bar last night (also now penniless) and I have never seen
it that empty for a Sat night. I think it is tied to the economy rather then
points or penny slots.
The guy sitting next to me was playing nickles, One nickle at a time.

I left for home around 4 PM and it wasn't really hopping then, either. I
agree that the economy is a big factor but I think (only from what I've been
hearing) that the new point system is contributing to it. My friends, who only
play slots and don't really track what they play, are complaining that they
think the Sun has cut the points they earn on slots, too. They said it seems
like they're just not getting what they were before. If this is truly the
case, I think the Sun is being a little shortsighted. ...I would think when the
economy is bad they would be looking to add incentives for players to come
in. I'm diverting some of my play dollars to Harrah's junkets - although the
Harrah's properties in Vegas have terrible VP, some of their other properties
offer some decent plays, plus they pick up the cost of the trip. Heading to
Tahoe this week for a junket with a friend out of Providence. It'll be
interesting to see how things shake out in the next couple of months at Mohegan
Sun.
