Mohegan Pick-'em

Went to the Sun this morning to pick up some free play and noticed all of the Pick-'em machines in the Sky Casino were gone. Asked a tech where they were.....he said they were moved to the old poker room. They were there all right, along with the old ones, but they were all shut down (including the old ones) for "upgrades". In light of the recent pay table cuts, I suspect this is additional bad news.

Only checked one bar for 9/6 Jacks, and at the circle bar in the Sky, they are still there.

Also made a quick side trip to MGM and saw no evidence yet of new and improved VP. Everything is still as lousy as it ever was.

The Pick'em in Sky had been all out of service a month or so ago (coincidentally it just happened to be a double point day) but I did notice that the visibility on those old machines had been really improved. So I don't know what upgrades would be necessary, and I fear you are probably right about the paytables changing. They may be downgrading them to the same paytables they have in the Casino of the Breaking Wind, which I believe are 98.74%

Any word on the situation with the $1.00 Pickem machines at MS. The last report early in the week was that they moved the Sky Casino $1.00 machines to the old Poker Room in the Earth Casino along side (or nearby) the existing $1.00 Pick'em machines. But at the time, they all (including the ones already in the room) had been shut down for "service upgrades".

Anyone have a more recent update about the $1.00 Pick'em machines? Are they back in operation. Do they still contain $1.00 Pick'Em. Have the paytables been changed?

I'm planning to go there Sunday, but might forego the trip if these machine's paytables have been downgraded.

I'm heading out there tomorrow and if I can get ahold of one of the public PC's I'll post the current status

Stayed there last night. Still the same the $1.00 Pickems have moved to the Earth Casino old Poker Room and still disabled. Even 3 of the remaining original old $1.00 Pickem Games were disbaled. So you are looking at maybe 6 full pay pickem games in the entire casino. Also lots of construction. They certainly have much less 9-6 JOB you really have o search the Bartops to find them. I bet on a busy day you will most likely not be able to play many good VP games.

This is interesting. When I left the Sun on Wed. night only one of the "old" $1 PE was disabled. Everyone seemed to think that the upright Gamemakers that were transplanted from the Sky Casino and are currently disabled will contain FPPE when they are activated.
I hope so but wouldn't bet on it, particularly in light of them now disabling some of the slant tops. Lets face it, if they wanted to, these machines could be up and running within a day. The weekend might bring the "final results".

Today the $1.00 Pick-ems in the old poker room were intact, still full pay, except for one disabled (held) for a player. The $1.00 games transplanted from the Sky were operational and were still full pay. Approx 15 full pay $1 Pick-em games remain in the old poker room...Good news.

Quarter pick-em games in the old poker room were short pay, as others have reported. Full pay Bonus Poker in the old poker room is disappearing quickly, only a few games left.

Does anyone know if play on $1.00 slot machines returns better comp than quarter or dollar video poker? I have heard that Mohegan is somewhat connected with Harrah's, and Harrah's pays double points, as a rule, for slots vs Video Poker.

Good Luck everyone!! Carol

The $1.00 games transplanted from the Sky were operational and were still full pay.

Played these today, the screens appeared much brighter and clearer. The tech who said the machines were being upgraded wasn't lying!

Thanks G P. I'll be there tomorrow and didn't want to waste the 2+ hour trip unless the PEs were intact.

On another note, I noticed my Sagamore Card and Parking Card (and probably everyone's) expire on 9/30, only a few days away. I know I have enough points over the last six monthe period to qualify for the next six months, yet I sill haven't got my new Sagamore Card and Parking Card.

This is my first time as a Sagamore. Do they mail you your renewed cards or do you pick up new ones in October at the Player's Card Booth?

Has anyone got their new cards mailed to them yet? I assume the new card would be good from October until the end of March 2010?

Are the $1 PKM machines in the old poker room still FP?

Also, am I computing the "new" return on the .25 PKM machines using winpoker software correctly? If with 5 CI the 3 OAK pays 20 coins and the royal is 10,000 Winpoker shows perfect play at a return of 97.1967% and with a much larger variance of 23.02433% than FP.

Any inside info on the new VP room at Foxwoods?

That really ticks me off when people do that especially when there are no open machines. I ask to play one of the machines and if they refuse I call a slot attendant who then calls a supervisor. If that doesn't help I call my host who told me should would take care of it. It has never gotten that far yet as I don't play the pickum's that often.
On another note, half of the bartops in both bars in the old casino have been downgraded to 8-5. Hopefully they don't do it to the others.
