Mohegan Emails

Just curious whether anyone received the following emails from the Sun recently:

Free play yesterday (Monday 5/10)

Survey on the Arrowhead, Feather & Sachem lounges

I received the latter, someone I know received the former

Thx,

Guru

We received both.

It's interesting that the lounge survey left out the 33rd floor. I believe what they are trying to determine is if people would be willing to pay (use points) to bring in extra people.

We received the free play e-mail on Friday night.

Not that many people are eligible for the 33rd floor lounge - I usually can only get access during the week. To me, the difference between that one & the others is night & day.

They really never spell out much about the lounges, but I very rarely bring more than just the bride in. I believe it was only twice I brought in another couple. But I have noticed that recently some people seem to be abusing the lounges, groups spending hours in there. There was even one guy who had spread out his laptop, phone, papers and was using a table for 4 as his office.

Again, as a matter of curiosity, do you usually hit the Sun on weekends or weekdays? My Sagamore friend, who almost always only goes on weekends got a fairly big freeplay for Monday. I usually go during the week, but didn't get any email Monday freeplay. Maybe they're sending offers counter to your usual pattern. (That's what prompted the curiosity)

Mohegan has been trying to cut their lounge costs over the last year. There is only one lounge open for breakfast now where there used to be three. They even tried closing the 33rd floor from Mon-Fri night. They changed that after one month and reopened 33 every night after they got a lot of complaints.

We usually go to Mohegan about 2X a month on weekends and 2X during the week. Both me and my wife received the Monday offer while several other people we know did not. I've given up on trying to figure out what determines who gets some of their offers.

My wife received the freeplay offer and I didn't. I play at a higher than she does. The only factor that is different is she has a loss for the year while I have a win. That has got to be one of the factors. It is impossible to figure out marketing
