I think this was 2012 results, so the blizzard and Bon Jovi and even Chinese New Year should not a factor.

Not surprised at all.
They lost their biggest (February) weekend at Mohegan due to the blizzard. The cancellation of the Bon Jovi concert, and a travel ban in MA and CT pretty much killed would would have been an otherwise jam packed weekend (Bon Jovi + Chinese New Year celebrations). Even the Chinese buses cancelled service, that weekend.

According to the article, February's handle showed a 6.8 percent decline from the previous year.
Nearby Foxwoods Resort Casino reported its February 2012 numbers to very close to last year's, dropping by slightly less than 1 percent."
