Mohegan 7/5 trip report

I was there for the Sting concert also. I played mostly the JOB in the high
limit area and got killed. It is still full of FP JOB and several Pick-em.
Back to the poker room for me. It was pretty dead this weekend.

The concerts are a nice perk but I though Sting sucked. Lenox was much better
and put alot more into her show. I also don't get it how these name acts
Sting and Bowie a few weeks ago can charge face value almost $200 a ticket and not
perform their most famous numbers. Sting even screwed up Roxanne with a
boring 10 minute rif in the middle of it. I'm hoping Rod Stewart next Tuesday comes
through with some of his best numbers.

All is well in the old poker room. 20 hours of PE. We were lucky this
trip. Seven quads and a SF. Up $3K for the trip making up quite a lot
for our 2004 history at MS.
Saw Lennox/Sting concert in the Arena. Full house. They wer O.K. but
almost too polished. Maybe arthritis is starting to develop in their
bones. The shows are a nice comp that MS oftens. The $59 point room
rate is great as well.

O.K. Joel,
My wife left during that Rox rif. I stayed to the "encore" when he
did his best songs. Lennox looked good. Her bio says 49.
Sting's bio say 53 and he looked in top shape. Its amazing what
makeup can do for a performer. I'd say Lennox wore none and Sting
wore a lot. Both in physical good shape.
I didn't expect to see much stage peformance from Sting. Fans had
told me he doesn't do much. I did expect more from Lennox but she was
pretty good. Just comparing her to Cyndi Lauper in her mid 50's and
still climbing on top of speakers and venturing out into the audience.

I got a $1 PE SF once and ventured to the high limit room. Lost $500
on $5 PE real quick. Oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained. On
Tuesday, played near a woman playing the triple devil VP game at
$20/hand. She got 4 aces during the three devils for $9K. Then she
got (playing $10/hand) $2K with 4 aces on the next machine while
waiting for payment. Wonder what the E.V. is on that game. Like a
slot machine with the bonus round but only double ur money with 3OAK.

Following threads on the Pennsylvania slot machine legislation.
Probably will be Video lottery terminals so no additional competition.
If its Nevada/AC style gambling, then competition will be adding
value for everyone.
