Would some kind person tell me what the variance is in pickem assuming a zero payoff for a royal flush? Thanks.

The variance goes to 10.9, and if you set the Royal to the same payoff as the straight flush it goes to 11.01 .
I don't know why you care, but as a frequent Pick-Em player I can tell you that even with the very low variance in
this game you can still have some extremely ugly sessions with great frequency if you fail to hit your share of quads.
