Missing in Action - the Quarter 9/6 Jacks at the Southcoast

I read the post saying that there were quarter 9/6 Jacks all over the
South Coast, and I looked forward to checking out the new casino.

Because I had enrolled in the slot club online (prior to opening day),
getting my "charter player" bonuses was a breeze. There was a
separate area (down the hall past the slot club booth) for charter
members. I was delighted to receive a tee-shirt, a really good fun
book, and a coupon for a free buffet, The separate area saved me at
least a half hour wait in the line at the slot club.

While finalizing my enrollment, I also was asked to set up a PIN
code. Because of this, I wouldn't be surprised if Coast changes the
way they do their coupons -- and move to a system like the ones at the
Tuscany or Monte Lago.

Once finished at the surrogate booth, I then eagerly went to check out
the play. I hate to have to say this, but the pickings were slim for
a quarter player like me.

I couldn't find ANY single line quarter 9/6 Jacks, and I must have
looked at dozens of machines throughout the entire casino. Most of
the single line quarter machines didn't even have Jacks or Better on
them, let alone any with the full pay table. Much to my chagrin, the
ONLY quarter 9/6 Jacks I was able to find was a bank of 50-plays.
Unlike the Orleans, the South Coast didn't seem to have any full pay
Double Bonus at all... (Note, I have idea about NSUD as I don't play
that game and am not familiar with the pay table.)

It seems to me that the South Coast decided to give themselves an
early Christmas present by shorting all the machines that had been
publicized as having decent plays.

I wound up playing 8/5 Bonus and had a lucky session. I started out
by putting $30 into the machine, and quickly brought that down to
$1.25. Then, my luck started changing. By the time I cashed out, I
hit the Aces twice and was happy that I got to keep the $200.

Administrator, can you please update the database - or specify exactly
where the machines are? I'd hate for more people to be misled.

Thanks,
Lainie
