In response to a few recent posts;

- IMHO lots of people are visiting Reno these days. I was there over New
Years weekend along with about 20,000 of my closest friends in the middle
of downtown to watch the fireworks at midnight. From those I spoke with the
hotels were sold out or close to it.

- weather has been unseasonably warm and dry. Reno didn't get ANY snow in
December -- first time since the 1800s when that's happened. The ski
resorts are making their own snow. Down on the valley floor temps were in
the mid-60's right after the first of the year; I was bike riding in shorts
and a small windbreaker

- the Siena still has the "we'll match others" promo going with regard to
free play. The best in-house play I found was a quarter 7/5 BP machine
where the progressive was stuck at $1600+. My better half hit it just
before midnight on New Year's Eve and it reset the other seven (7) machines
in the bank, but not that one.

Well, I know people are coming, but only on new years was it packed...yhis weekend its deadsville...just used to be a lot of people posting trip reports...but then again, most people are seniors on this board and time waits for no man...
I'm averaging a royal a weekend...i guess I'm just lucky..
