MSS - Just heard from an MSS regular who is staying there
now. The six 25c FPDW are all still there and even more
popular than usual.

Are you sure they checked the paytable? It would be quite
remarkable if they changed those back to full pay.

Yes, the MSS regular is VERY reliable and knowledgeable and
I'm sure he checked the paytable. But I'm really not so sure
these machines were changed to short-pay for awhile then
changed back to full-pay. It's more likely that the MIA
report was in error.

I can confirm the machines are FP since I have been playing them all
week. I cannot confirm if any of the pay tables on this six machines
had been changed and then changed back. Nobody seems to know. No
deuces on these machines yet but was dealt deuces last night at the
California.

I am considering a trip to MSS. I was wondering if anyone who has stayed
there could tell me what the rooms are like? Perhaps a comparison to GN, which
I have stayed.
Thanks.

There is no comparison! Golden Nugget is a class joint. If you are
not a picky person, MSS will be okay. I've only stayed at MSS once
and my wife made me change hotels after one night. The room was less
than spotless, it was noisy and light came in through the shuttered
windows.

==================================

I agree 100%. I've been staying at the G.Nugget

since Steve Wynn bought and furbished it. Before Mirage was even a
distant gleam in his eye. It is the class of downtown, and as good
as most hotels on the strip.

The MSS USED to be a much nicer place, before the original owner
spent a gizzlion $$$ on gorgeous antiques, and immediately went
belly-up. It was a sad day when they auctioned off all his
treasures!

The MSS is still O.K. for vp (on selected machines) but I'd stay at
the GN, if I had a choice.

Have a good trip,

                   Babe

Thanks I will stick with GN.
