Misc. re: Charlie's, Cal, El Cortez, Golden Nugget, Palms and Texas

Arizona Charlie's Decatur - They were installing an
automatic TITO ticket redemption machine today in the south
side of the casino. Should help reduce the long lines at
the change booths.

California - One of the 25c FPDW has returned to a
permanent-looking spot against the wall of the keno lounge.
The whole area on the east side of the casino by the craps
tables has been reconfigured. The two other FPDW by the
slot club are still there.

El Cortez - A usually reliable video poker player told me
that all of the 100.9% 16/13 double deuces with 4700 royal
are gone. Has anyone been there recently to confirm this?

Golden Nugget Las Vegas - Based on Elito's post on vpFREE
recently, today I found eight single-line 5c 10/7 Double
Bonus machines in upright multigames near the buffet comp
line.

Palms - I found out today that all players using a slot
card will get 2x points every Friday in July. No special
mailer is needed. (Attn. Scot Krause) I also confirmed
that the cutoff date for the July local mailer was 6/4
and is expected to remain around that date.

Texas - It was recently posted here that Krispy Kreme has
closed. Quizno's Subs is opening in its place. So much for
peace and quiet at the nearby slant-top FPDW.

The El Cortez info is incorrect. I alerted a friend, who walked up
there from MSS around Noon today and found them. Perhaps a few had
been moved. I think they would lose half their customer base if they
removed them (and the KBJW.)
