Misc. Las Vegas Updates 8-8-07

Arizona Charlie's Decatur - On Tuesdays in August for
every 1000 points earned you get $10 in free play.
Swipe at kiosk after playing to activate free play. No

need to go to slot club. (1000 points = $2000 coin-in
on all video poker except for the over-100% machines.)

Arizona Charlie's Decatur - Added six more $1/$2/$5
multigame slant-tops in the high-limit area for a
total of 11 such machines there. Best game is NSU
Deuces. The database has been updated.

Fiesta Rancho - The six uprights near Garduno's have
been changed so they now have 25c FPDW + 10/7 DB +
10/6 DDB + JW. These are the same games as on the non-
smoking machines and the ones against the wall
opposite the banquet room. Will send details to the
Fiesta Rancho casino monitor.

Hooter's - The four over-100% payback machines near
the front door are still there. In addition to the
games listed in the database, these also have
5c/10c/25c 15/10 LDW. Couldn't find any $2 or $5
9/5/80 WHA nor any 99.9% JW2 in any denomination. Best

$5 game now appears to be 8/5 BP. The database has
been updated. See the Blog for additional changes.

MGM Grand - Thanks to vp1040 for posting here about
the downgrading of the $1 3/5 play 9/6 JoB and the
addition of a $5 9/6 JoB progressive. I have further
details on these and will send them to the casino
monitor.

NYNY - The database has been revised based on a visit
yesterday. Notable change is that all the $1 8/5 BP
have been downgraded. Database has been revised for
this and some other changes.

Red Rock - I saw a couple of banks of machines with
both slots and video poker with poor paytables that
award a random bonus of Boarding Pass points instead
of cash. I believe this is new.

Suncoast - Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere that
they are having 2x points 8/10-8/12 and 8/24-8/26.
Also noticed that some of the 25c/50c/$1/$2 9/6 Bonus
Poker Deluxe have been downgraded to 8/6.

Tuscany - You can now convert points to free play
right at the machines. But according to the printed
rules, you can still get a voucher for cash from the
slot club if you prefer. MGM/Mirage has offered a
similar point-to-free-play conversion for several
months. Maybe other casinos are also.

---I had it in my cheap column. They also have Pay with your Points
discounts those weekends too.

Scot

Thanks to vp1040 and ms. vpFae for posting this info.

There are no signs on this bank of machines to indicate this, but points accrue at a lower rate than normal. Three hands of $5 JoB (i.e. $75 coin-in) yields only 9 points ($8.33/point) instead of the normal 25 ($3/point). The lower rate applies to ALL games/denoms on these machines, not just the $5 games tied to the progressive.

Where are these? I just looked in the high limit area and found an
8/5 Jacks or Better $5 progressive and was told that there was no
other $5 Jacks or Better progressive.

They've been downgraded back to 8/5. They didn't last long, maybe it was a mistake.

There are at least 2 banks of these machines that aren't listed in the database: 1 is right in front of high-limit, the other is a few banks away walking towards the gift shop. I don't know if these were moved from in front of Ping Pang Pong, I didn't check those.

Received a letter announcing the "New" Circus Player's Club:

o Every 200 points redeemed = $5 cash back -OR- $10 free slot play.
o Earn 5000 points in a calendar year and receive $50 in free slot play.

Comps remain on your account until you choose to redeem as long as you play on your card at least once every twelve months.

In the same letter, also received an offer for 5 free nights RFB.

I went into Circus Circus to get my new card and get my old

cashback. They gave me a new card and let me have double cash back in
free play for my old cash back for the last year and ahalf. My free
play won't work on the wheel of fortune but it did work on the $1.00
five play NSDU.
