Minor Las Vegas Updates

Arizona Charlie's Decatur - Over the past few months, the
points awarded on most of their machines have been
gradually reduced. For example, as of today machines with
the better video poker paytables that used to give one
point for every $3 coin-in, now require $5 coin-in to get
one point.

Fiesta Rancho - The Steakhouse has closed and is now the
banquet room. The new Blue Agave Steakhouse in Garduno's
has an American menu in addition to Garduno's regular
Mexican one for dinner. And they are open for lunch seven
days a week serving only the Fajita Express Buffet, no menu
service.

Horseshoe - I checked the video poker inventory yesterday.
Looks like they have removed several machines and the
aisles are getting wider. Other than minor changes to the
database, I found two more upright 25c triple-plays with
NSUD and 9/6 JoB near Keno.

Las Vegas Advisor - A few days ago I mentioned their chart
of best video poker, but I forgot to say that it's sortable
by casino, game and denomination. Click on any of the
column headings to do so. That's very handy.

Palms - If any Las Vegas locals aren't receiving the 2x or
3x points offered in their monthly mailer for under-100%
machines, tell the slot club folks and they will adjust
your account. A floor supervisor told me that some
below-100% machines were inadvertently set-up to give 1x
points only. They are working on correcting the problem.

Plaza - I heard from another player that the upright FPDW
at the Plaza in the sportsbook was missing. I found it
around the corner against the wall beside the main
cashier. They have installed many new machines in that
part of the casino.

Tuscany - You can now download your bounceback free play
right on the machines instead of getting a TITO slip from
the slot club. The system looks almost exactly like the one
in use at the Palms.

Tuscany - The bank of 10-coin 5c FPDW has been moved from
near the sportsbook to over by the cashier.

Tuscany - The cafe is now offering a brunch buffet on
Saturdays and Sundays and a dinner buffet Wednesday through
Sunday evenings.

Don't know about VP software for the Palm OS but I can highly recommend Winpoker for the pocket pc running windows mobile 2003. I have a Dell Axim X30 and I am impressed with Dean Zamzow's excellent programming. Dean offers this as a free download. Now if only Tomski would convert his VPSM program to the pocket pc ....
