Mini Vegas Trip Report

Was sent out to the west coast for work and managed to get a couple
of days in Vegas afterwards. Decided to establish myself at two new
casinos (for me) with Caesars, MSS and LV Hilton all being downgraded
(for the 25c player at least).

BOULDER STATION
Played 8 hours at Boulder station using a x3 LVA voucher. Played on
the 3-Play NSUD progressive. Timed the progressive at 0.1% for each
line and 0.3% for the dealt progressive. Put through $20,000 but only
scored 2 sets of ducks and no royals. Ended up $1,000 down. Did get
$50 in free play when the station wide progressive hit (around
$136,000 I think). Decided to eat at the buffet at Sunset station
instead of Boulder. It was much nicer in my opinion (particularly
atmosphere).

FOUR QUEENS
Played 8 hours at 4 queens on the 10/7 progressive. Timed the
progressive at 0.25%. Put through 1100 points (about $9,000 coin
in). Didn't hit Aces or quads 2-4's. Ended up $300 down. I was
comped dinner at the Chicago pizza restaurant. Small eating area,
but pizza and beers were good. Watched some baseball while eating
which is one of my favorite eating alone activities. The Four Queens
is really starting to look pretty good now. I was told they just
recently put $20 million into the property. It shows. I would now
consider it solidly average (as compared to grimy a few years ago).

MISC
Picked up $400 from Caesars on a travel cash offer and $75 from the
Hilton in Bounce back.

Hoping future offers are worth the "investment" of this trip.

Just curious; with the 3 play machine you're very close to $1 single
line play as far as money per hand. Do you stay with quarter TP
because of the " more hands played, closer to theo" theory? Do you
play 50 cent single line ?

Thought you had to be a registered hotel guest to pick up this offer ?

The bankroll requirements for triple play quarters are only slightly
higher than single line (I believe 1.25 is a good ratio but VPFW will
give you exact numbers). I also play 50c single line when available
and with a high enough EV. Not a lot of 50c good pay tables around
unfortunately.

I was booked into Caesars for the offer. Unfortunately there is
nothing left there to play at the 25c level so I could (would) not
give them any action.

1.25x sounded in the ballpark but a little light to me so I ran $.25
NSUD + .75% cb through VPFW. Single line B/R came up as $14532,
3-play $21392.

I should have identified those as being 1% ROR numbers.

Harry

I get the exact same numbers for a 1% ROR. In this case I guess the
ratio is closer to 1.5.
