If you ask me MindPlay is cheating by the casino. Will not be long
before house will calculate when deck is positive for play and computer
will order a new deal. Thus, casino takes more advantage of player who
can't play good. Players are not allowed to use computers to track
game, it's cheating. House can use device to track game, it's legal?
Worse yet the gambling joints are proud of it and they brag about it.
It's like having a super dealer on steroids. Of course, as always, no
one asked me.

This is old news. Since Mindplay knows the exact
order of every card, even those not dealt. The El
Dorado in Reno was sued along with the gaming board
and Bally Gaming because it was policy in the El
Dorado's single deck game to shuffle when the
remaining cards favored the players and dealing deep
when it favored the house.
The result: The Gaming Board was exempt from the
suit.
Then the suit was settled by the gaming board putting
in an 8 hand delay before this kind of information can
be transmitted to the pit. I have no idea how they
enforce this. So a casino has been cheating every
single player on the table with this. They are not
cheating card counters because the counter will know
exactly what they are doing but they are cheating the
losing players.
Even with the cheating, Mindplay is a dismal failure.
It was at the Hilton and they lost so many of their
regular green and black chip players that they removed
the Mindplay tables. To this day the Hilton has not
had much success in getting these players back.
Mindplay was then put into the Flamingo where they too
have been losing players and rumor has it that
Mindplay is being removed there.
Mindplay will never work in an area where there is
competition for several reasons.
1. Players do not strange things on the table, so
they will go to other casinos.
2. Good counters know how to play it without any
problems.
3. It is completely useless against team play.
4. The pit staff knows it is designed to reduce the
amount of pit staff and surviellance staff needed.
5. Players are figuring out that when the casino says
it will give you the proper amount of comps, the
casino means it will cut your comps. No comps when
you sit out part of a shoe, nothing for going to the
restroom, no extras for being liked by the pit or
dealer, and if you are a lowroller that the casino
does not comp anyway, you still get nothing.
Now if you have a casino in an area without
competition they just may be able to use it.

Much of this stuff I have heard. Didn't know Hilton actually used
MindPlay, I thought they just test ran system without using. Didn't
know about El Dorado. 8 hand delay?? Think of this. Dealer shuffles
cards. Then he picks up deck of cards and looks at every card in
deck. Then he deals game. Can you imagine such a thing. Yet, when
it's done electronically, somehow it's ok. Go figure.
I think many of the table game players who are not comped use vp for
comps. Works as a good break from table games anyway.
Competition is the name of the game; for players. That's why Vegas
will always be #1. AC is going down the wrong road with mergers
making so many casinos there under same management.
