One aspect of this nano-player-tracking software that isn't touted,
but is quietly whispered about, is that the "theo" of a perfect
Basic Strategy player is quite a bit less (smaller expected loss)
than that of the usual addled turista from Pustule Falls.
Specifically, the average dumdum plays BJ at about 3% less than
optimal. Now, in the case of ultra-high rollers, there have been
sporadic attempts in the past to evaluate true theo by observing the
player's game techniques ("Mr. Chang doubles on 10 against an Ace,
stands on all hard 16s, and always insures a blackjack; we can give
him the Imperial Pasha suite"). But NOW, boys and girls, thanks to
technology, the computers can tell EXACTLY how we play, how WELL we
play, and our expected loss down to the freakin' penny! ("Joe Sharpy
split 99 against an 8, doubled with A8 vs. a 6, hit A7 vs. a 10; he
gets one hot dog (no mustard or relish)".)
You can see how the decent player will get virtually nothing under
this new system, while the idiots will be the only ones who earn
comps. The ultimate result will be the driving away of those players
who play the game well enough so that they do not lose. GEE, REMIND
YOU OF ANYTHING???
BTW, look out for the software that enables the machine to track
your mistakes (or lack thereof), much as the VP software programs do
now, and build a profile of you over time which can be used to get
a "true value" to the casino of a particular player. Primitive
calculations like coin-in or coin-out will be discarded in favor
of, "Mistakes cost average of 0.07 percent of EV. Rating: Expert
Player. DO NOT COMP."
Imagine Jean Scott's face when the machine swallows her card like an
ATM machine, and DOESN'T GIVE IT BACK. Then the message will
read, "BASED ON YOUR PLAYER PROFILE, POINTS WILL BE AWARDED AT THE
RATE OF ONE POINT FOR EACH $10,000 COIN-IN"
