My wife and I are in the middle of a 4 night Atlantis and 2 night
Peppermill trip, and I have some info some of you locals might be
interested in.
I have heard this happening before, but never thought I would be
able to benifit from it.
When a casino decides to shut down a progressive back of machines
(slot or VP), the progressive amount above the reset MUST be put
back in some machines in the Casino. The casino can't keep that
money. It was money already set aside for a customer to eventually
hit.
Appearently, the Atlantis took that money and added a $1000 each
to all of the quarter progressive machines. When we got here
Wednesday night, the quarter progressive at the Xanadu bar was
$2,100, at the stage bar it was at about $2,050, and the nickle
progressive (20 coin) at the Xanadu bar is now up to over $2000
(normally $800 at reset). The bank of quarter machines at the top
entrance to the sky bridge is still over $2000.
We had been playing the progressive at the Xnadu bar pretty heavy.
I had to stop and go listen for the winners of the free Thursday
video poker tourneyment, because I thought I might have placed in
it.Sure enough, I finished somewhere around 20th place and won $20
of freeplay. I ran back over to my wife to show her how happy I was
to win the $20, when I look down and saw she had just hit the
progressive for $2,248! We are only quarter players, so that was our
biggest jackpot ever.
Anyway, we are going over to the Pepp tomorrow for acouple of days.
But as of now, there are still two of the progressives that havn't
been hit yet.
Luck to all,
Mike from Little Rock.
