MGM Springfield

Lots of different machines, some standard types like the Lightning and Game of Thrones, but many newer types. Same basic play as they seemed looser on the first couple weeks, but they are now shutting sections off and probably changing chips to lower the payback percentages. Very little VP, and mainly triple play to 10 play. Good on comps, and points build fast even though I’m not sure what they are good for except food and paying the room fee of $22 per night, and I guess for rooms. Rooms are dark and forget view, but best mattress I ever slept on. TV is in frame on wall but it has a pull out swivel bracket so you can watch it from bed. Fast Food is Ok in the South End, except for breakfast in the Grill section, dried out French Toast and scrambled eggs with consistancy of cottage cheese. Pancakes are excellent in the section next to it. Asian food section is mostly good also. I didn’t try the high end restaurants yet. Crowds come in about 10:30 AM and it gets noisy. Totally Non Smoking which is nice. Easy to lose your money, same as Ct. casinos.
