MGM Offers (????)

I saw a billboard yesterday wherein MGM was offering a double-bounty on offers from other casinos, sort of like Greektown does/did with Caesars Windsor offers.

Does anyone know any more details? All I've seen is one billboard. Any dates? Days? Casinos in particular? I went on their promotions page and didn't see anything.

After calling MGM, I understand that Motor City, Greektown, Caesars, and Soaring Eagle qualify.

Where was this billboard, The wife saw one on southbound I-75 below mile Rd. Will have to take it slow and read it.

Here is the scoop on the MGM deal. Last week, my sister received a postcard from MGM stating that if she brought in her postcard from MGM, along with her other "local" offers they would match them. I went to MGM and asked the girl working at the slot club and she told me that if you did not receive the postcard, you could not get the offer match and it was only mailed to certain people, her husband didn't get it, but she did, and they go together, so that was kind of strange, so I was denied my offers that I had brought, but this was last week.

Today, on Sunday 9/20, I stopped again, so I could use my cash reward play from MGM and had heard about the bill board sign while I was at Windsor, so I thought I'd give it another try, and had my mailings from the other casinos with me again. I gave them my Windsor Caesar's monthly mailing that Greektown has been stamping EVERY WEEK with the GTC red logo and initializing the correct date/week that you are redeeming it there for, and MGM takes your mailing, (you don't get it back so you can redeem it at GT then), but they make a copy of the weekly cash back offer, just that one page, along with your slot card and keep the original mailing/booklet, and hand you back the copy that they made. The next WEEK, when the dates become valid for you to obtain more weekly cash from Windsor, you bring your copy back in and they work off of the copy. The only thing is, you cannot use that original mailing any longer back at Greektown to redeem because you no longer have it, (pretty smart of them...). But I thought, what stops you from just making a copy of your original and then bringing it in, like you had already done this once before and this is not your first visit doing this.... I know the girl working called my account up on the screen and I think they enter something in your record, that you are doing this, so the first time you bring it an offer to use, this entry is made into your account. That way, it prevents you from making your own copy and just bringing it in, because if they pull your account up, it would show that you should or should not have a copy then..... But I did get DBL cash back and they put it right on my account and I used it right away.

I asked about motor city and was told that you can bring in a local mailing, which I assume is from GT, Windsor and MC and they will DBL it ONCE a day, which means you have to make more then 1 trip a week if you want to redeem and get DBL cash back from all 3 casinos GT, Windsor, and MC and use all your weekly mailings at MGM then. I asked about Mt. pleasant and she said they would only MATCH that one and not DBL it, so I didn't have that mailing with me, so I'm unsure if that is correct or not.

I had turned my weekly reward play from motor city, into Mt. Pleasant on last Wednesday for their weekly "match this" promo that they are having, so I had already given up that mailing and I'm now screwed, but they would have been my biggest offer for them to DBL an amount for.

I was also told that this promo at MGM would continue until the end of October, so save your next month's mailings from GT, MC, and Windsor for sure.....

Go to Greektown FIRST and redeem a weekly one first from Windsor and get a match on it for money and then take that same mailing to MGM next so you can get DBL back. At least you can get one more week at GT this way before you surrender your mailing to MGM. They took my mailing even though I had redeemed the first 2 weeks of September at Greektown. I was going to stop to GT first today, but because of the Lions game and the bad traffic I decided not to and gave up my Windsor mailing at MGM then for the DBL cash.

Heck DBL, is better then a match.....

How much you wanna bet that GT, starts to DBL Windsor offers now too, and maybe take motor city and MGM offers now ?
Ain't competition GREAT ?

Greektown will take the Windsor offers printed off the internet. I have done this since the beginning of the promotion. If you get on your TR account, you can mark it to just print out the cash offers at Windsor. Greektown will stamp this sheet each week.

I doubled my Greektown offers (with SO) yesterday and got $90 at MGM. The line went quickly. I had a swipe offer from Windsor good for a guaranteed $40 but they would not match that. The billboard just before crossing the bridge says it is good through 10/31.

Coming back into the country through the tunnel took about 45 minutes. It looked like they had every guard out going through cars.

Thanks for that bit of info, I'm going on Tuesday/Wednesday and I'll give that a try with the printout of my total rewards account!

Just as a side note, I stopped for my first time ever at that DUTY FREE store that you see when you first enter the tunnel on the Windsor side, going back into the USA, the parking lot is to the right of the tunnel entrance. I saw the 20% discount in the Windsor mailing for diamond card holders, so I thought it would be worth a stop, just to see what was in there. That place is a gold mine for bargains, especially for deals on alcohol. I stocked up with some great deals for the holidays. They have a lot of different items in that store and prices were pretty good too, and then you get 20% off your total bill, I was really surprised at how much stuff there was. I showed customs my receipt and they didn't even look in the trunk and took my word for it, so I didn't have a problem bring back 3 bottles of booze either. All you need to give them at the duty free store is your car license plate number and your ID, and harrahs card.

Len,

Did they give you the 20% off for a diamond card on liquor? I thought they weren't supposed to do that.

Yes they did. I had bought a 3 bottle pack of Bicardi Rum, it came in a 3 pack carry-on case 1 liter bottles each. They have a lot of discounted specials in the store, on every brand, if you buy more then 1 bottle, each variety seems to have some sort of special running, some are a mix/match special and others are all the same brand. If you buy like a 3-4 bottle pack there is a discount for a special price break. Whatever your harrahs card level is then, Diamond was at 20% off, so if it's more then the discount for the regular price of the special then, they give you the better of the deal then, I got like 3 bottles and paid like around $9 each for a bottle, and no tax either. There are rules as what and how much you can bring back in, but they kind of know that in the store so all you have to do is ask, he said customs, may charge me a tax per bottle but they didn't. Here is a link to the Tunnel duty free store, the bridge also has a store too.
