MGM MIRAGE changes name to MGM Resorts International

Why would you keep "five figures" in your comp balance at MGM/Mirage? I am not being obnoxious, just curious. I usually make sure I convert my points to free play before I leave town each time since there doesn't appear to be any benefit in carrying a balance.

Is there something I should be aware of that makes it worthwhile to "save" points at the MGM/Mirage properties.

Thanks,

Diane

I'm not the OP, nor do I keep a five figure balance, but I do like to let my Point Play balance build up. I'm an out of towner and only bring X amount of bankroll with me each trip. Occasionally there's a brutal trip and I like to have that "extra" bankroll sitting in my account to use when I'm not yet ready to stop playing.

No, I would recommend converting all your points into freeplay and not keeping a point balance. My original post isn't about points. It's about a separate comp balance that they keep (possibly only for locals).
