In past years, 30,000 HGS points got you $100 in free play. It takes $4.50
to earn one point, on single points, so added value for the HGS (single
points) is $100 / ($4.50 X 30,000) = .074%. On double HGS point days, it's
worth .148%.
If the redemption rate is the same as in the past, your 100,000 points are
worth $333 in free play, a bit more in retail value if you get merchandise.
If I remember correctly, you can only redeem for free play in multiples of
$50.

I see that MGM is offering double points towards the annual holiday gift
shoppe promo over the summer.
Is there a catalog posted anywhere of what gifts can be purchased, and
their point requirements?
If a catalog isn't posted yet, can anyone familiar with this promo in past
years tell me about what I can expect with 100,000 points? What point
total does it usually take to get the really good stuff?
Thanks in advance,
John
