The same thing happened to me on a triple play at Mohegan Sun. I knew I was playing a short pay 7/5BP 3-play but I didn't realize the royal was shorted to $1500 until I hit it. First I was pissed at MS, then I blamed myself for not looking at the full pay table. I then went around the casino and found that some of the 3 plays paid the $4000 for the royal and others paid $1500. I recently checked every $1 3-play and they have all been upgraded to FP for the royal.
