MGM Grand Detroit - another progressive update

Apparently somebody knocked off that $2,100+ quarter progressive. I
was in there this afternoon, the progressive was just a pinch over
$2K, so it must have been hit and reset. Then some dude hit that one
about 15 minutes after I sat down, at a machine very close to mine.

Matter of fact, it WAS mine!

   Brian,

Rarely does that bank of quarter progressives ever reach $2,000.
It is played quite heavily at all times of the day. The only game
worth playing is a 9/7/5 Double Bonus at 99.1%. I only play it if
it's at $1450 which makes it a 100% game. I've hit the Royal 5 or 6
times over the last few years.
Double Bonus is a very volatile game, which means that you
will lose more often than you will win, so if you don't get a Royal
every so often, you're going to be a loser.

Pappy -

Oh, I am nobody's babe-in-the-woods when it comes to VP. That
progressive bank going over $2K twice in a week is amazing to me,
too. While 9/7 DB is quite volatile, I'm willing to give it a crack
when the progressive drifts that high. Can't resist a 101.5% game,
especially in Detroit's VP wasteland. All the other games on those
multi's are sucker-bait (not that 9/7 DB is any prize, either).
