I ran a simulation through Win Poker using $1, so i played 1350 hands based on your math 10 times. The average loss was $476.50 with a high loss of $960 and a low of $320. The computer doesn't make errors, therefor I don't think it is a good deal. I remember when Wynn first opened they had a promo where you had to earn so many points to earn two buffets. The theoretical loss was about $40 or $50 less than the cost of the buffets. I lost more than $50 above the cost, so it wasn't necessarily a good deal.

Some of you may have received the same Billy Joel offer I received via
email from the MGM Grand. The offer is only for locals and stated
that if I earn 1,500 points in one day at MGM I'd earn 2 free $131.25
tickets to see the Billy Joel concert on February 14. According to
MGM's page on the Index, it takes $4.50 coin-in (c/i) to earn 1 point.
Therefore, $6,750 c/i = 1,500 points. If I play 9/6 JoB with a
99.54% EV, my return would be about $6,719.
