Saturday, I went to MGM around 7 PM to collect my freeplay for my diamond card.? After parking on the 7th floor, I went inside and the line at the satellite players club booth was about 15 people and only one person working.? I went inside to the main players club booth and the line was bent around toward the valet stairs.?
I went back to the satellite booth and if there was still the same line, I was going to just leave.? The line was about 13 people but there were 2 people working.
After a 15 minute wait, I get to the booth and start the process for my $100 in freeplay.? After a few minutes, the slot club attendant tells me she has to call a host to clear such a big award.? C'mon, MGM it's $100.? Since you are giving $100 to MC Signature, P club Elites and Diamonds, there's going to be a whole lot of those.
After a ten minute wait, she tells me the host said to go play and he will find me.? Ok, this is looking very bad.? I go and play because the 9/7 progressive is at $1670 and seats are open.? With every hand I lose, I am getting more and more agitated.
After an hour, I manage to hit quad 5s and 9s about 50 hands apart and quit down only $15.? No host.? I leave and go to Greektown and promptly lose $500.? That $500 loss bothered me much less than the MGM hassle.
Promotions are already off my list at MGM.? Their promotions define chaos.
I went to MGM website and sent an email complaint and of course, there is only a phone number and US mail address.? We are going to try again today.? Details to follow.
For those of you who are fans of unusual occurrences, on the quad 5s, I was dealt 2 5s and got the other 2 on the draw.? On the next hand I held a suited 567 and drew 2 5s.? The first event is 1 in 360 and the second event is 1 in 1081.? Chances of them back to back is about 195,000 to 1.?
One little shot at Greektown.? I went to park in the Fishbones lot and the guard told me the lot is full ( after he let the 3 ladies who were celebrating their birthday in).? I showed my P club card and he said no, we are full.? Then he said check the other lot and if that is full, come back and I'll let you in.?
